1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Play Fiesta uses cookies and similar technologies — such as browser local storage — when you visit play-fiesta.com. It is published in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to remember information about your visit. "Local storage" is a similar mechanism that allows a website to store small pieces of data in your browser between visits. Both are common, harmless technologies — but the law requires us to tell you which ones we use and to obtain consent for non-essential uses.
3. Types of cookies we use
We have deliberately kept our use of cookies to a strict minimum. Play Fiesta does not use advertising cookies and does not sell or share your data with third-party advertisers.
- Strictly necessary: required to operate basic site functions such as the age gate and your cookie preference. These are always set and do not require consent.
- Functional: remember your virtual coin balance, win/loss statistics, and game preferences — all stored in your own browser only.
- Analytics: we currently do not use any third-party analytics on Play Fiesta. If we add such tools in future, this policy will be updated and your consent re-requested.
4. Cookies & storage we set
The following items are stored on your device:
play_ageVerified— local storage. Confirms you've passed the 18+ age gate. Stored until you clear browser data. Necessary.play_cookieChoice— local storage. Records whether you accepted or declined optional cookies. Necessary.play_game_*— local storage. One entry per game (e.g.play_game_plinko) holding your virtual coin balance, wins, losses, streak and best result. Functional.
We do not currently set any HTTP cookies for the Site itself.
5. Your consent & choices
On your first visit, after the age confirmation, a cookie banner allows you to "Accept All" or "Decline" optional storage. Your choice is recorded. Necessary items will still be set in either case — without them the Site cannot function. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's data for play-fiesta.com.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
Most modern browsers allow you to view, control and delete cookies and local storage. Detailed instructions for the major browsers are available here:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Blocking strictly necessary items will prevent the Site from working correctly.
7. Third-party services
Play Fiesta loads two third-party resources that may set their own cookies, but only when you actively visit the Site:
- Google Fonts — used to render our typefaces. Google may receive your IP address as part of any standard font request.
- unpkg.com — used to load the Lucide icon library. No personal data is sent beyond that required by standard CDN delivery.
We do not currently embed any social media plugins, advertising networks or video players.
8. Your rights under UK GDPR
Even though Play Fiesta processes very little personal data, you retain the full rights afforded by the UK GDPR — including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise any of these rights, please email hello@play-fiesta.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
